Where the centre began.
Forty-six two-storey shop-office lots opened the new neighbourhood centre as an extension of Manggatal Old Town Centre. The first phase set the architectural language — clean horizontal facades, covered walkways, two-floor format — that the rest of the campus was built to match.
Eighteen years on, those Phase I lots still anchor the daily traffic with cafes, clinics and family businesses that have been operating here for over a decade.

Forty-nine more two-storey shop-office lots arrived in 2013 to complete the centre — bringing today's primary Jalan Tuaran frontage and the bigger anchors. Twelve-plus years of full operation, with Watsons, ONE STOP, MrDIY, 99 Speedmart, Sunlight Pharmacy, Multibake and 7-Eleven all in residence.

Plaza Manggatal sits at the junction of two major roads — the Tuaran Bypass and Jalan Tuaran — flanking the centre on either side. That double access is why the trade radius is unusually wide for a neighbourhood plaza: shoppers come not just from Manggatal but from Inanam, Likas, and the bypass corridor.
